CULTVR presents three live immersive performances celebrating Welsh language music

CULTVR Lab, the UK’s first immersive cross-disciplinary immersive venue, is proud to announce a series of remarkable live performances celebrating Welsh language music in an innovative 360° environment. Featuring critically acclaimed artists The Gentle Good, HMS Morris, and Lily Beau, these performances, supported by the Welsh Government via Creative Wales and Bubblewrap Collective, promise to offer a one-of-a-kind experience.
Bringing together music, storytelling and immersive visuals, CULTVR continues its mission to push the boundaries of live performance. Each of these artists represents the vibrancy of the Welsh music scene, fusing tradition with contemporary sounds to captivate audiences in a completely new way.
The Gentle Good is the folk music project of award-winning singer-songwriter Gareth Bonello. Renowned for his intricate acoustic compositions and poetic Welsh-language storytelling, his music blends traditional Welsh folk with global influences, including Chinese and Indian musical elements. His work has earned widespread critical acclaim, including the Welsh Music Prize, and continues to highlight the beauty of the Welsh language through masterful songwriting.
HMS Morris is a dynamic, avant-garde pop group that blends psychedelic rock, electronic beats, and imaginative storytelling. The Cardiff-based band has been praised for its energetic live performances, surreal visuals, and innovative approach to music, often tackling themes of identity, language, and Welsh heritage. Their unique sonic palette and theatrical stage presence make them a standout force in contemporary Welsh music.
Lily Beau is an emerging artist whose soulful voice and contemporary take on Welsh-language music have captivated audiences across Wales. Combining elements of pop, R&B, and folk, she brings a fresh and modern perspective to Welsh music, connecting with a new generation of listeners. Her emotionally resonant performances and commitment to promoting the Welsh language in music make her an exciting talent to watch.
“These performances are not just concerts; they are immersive journeys through sound, language, and visual artistry,” says Janire Najera, Creative Director at CULTVR. “We are dedicated to supporting Welsh-language artists and providing audiences with unique cultural experiences that showcase the breadth of talent Wales has to offer.”
The events will take place at the CULTVR dome in Cardiff, a state-of-the-art venue designed to host immersive and interactive experiences. Each performance will be enhanced by 360° visuals supported by 4Pi Productions, transforming the space into an audiovisual spectacle to provide an unparalleled sensory experience for audiences.
