Clwb Ifor Bach, Cardiff, UK – Sunday 8th June 2025, 4pm-10pm
Cardiff Music Conference (CMC) 2025 is back for its 6th edition and is set to elevate the Welsh capital with an unmissable celebration of music, creativity, and community. As one of Cardiff’s biggest grassroots music events, CMC returns to the iconic Clwb Ifor Bach, promising a festival of sound, learning, and opportunity.
This year’s event marks a powerful collaboration between CMC and partners including: Prestigious Pictures, New Era, Jukebox Collective, Silk Futures, Immersed, Sound Progression, Valley Events, SC Collectif, Native Radio and Diff Radio. The event is being organised by a collective from Ministry Of Life Education and Ministry Of Life Youth Services. With support from Arts Council Wales and The Ed Sheeran Foundation, CMC 2025 looks to be the biggest one yet as it invites DJ AG, Local and Murkage to the stage and has Grammy Award Winner Amy Wadge, Campaigner Elijah from Keep London Loud and Osama Izevbigie from OTID doing talks and masterclasses. With over 350 attendees expected and over 80 performers, this is not one to be missed.

From its roots in youth-led music initiatives – starting in 2009, Ministry Of Life began organising youth events in the STAR Centre in Splott with Aleighcia Scott and Ghetts. Another big achievement was Capital City Jam in 2013, which was a youth led festival in Bute Park – Ministry Of Life has built a reputation for empowering the next generation through music. CMC 2025 continues this mission, with an expanded programme that bridges creativity with education, inclusion, and professional development.
Attendees can expect a vibrant mix of hands-on workshops, expert panels, live performances, and community-led sessions designed to celebrate music not just as art, but as a vital tool for wellbeing, cultural expression, and social connection.
Key highlights of the programme include:
- On-site workshops delivered by partners such as Prestigious Pictures, who will host a live media workshop where young people contribute directly to CMC’s digital strategy.
- Creative discussions from industry professionals like Amy Wadge, Elijah, and Osama Izevbigie covering everything from surviving in an evolving music industry to exploring both traditional and alternative approaches to creativity, marketing and songwriting.
- Grassroots Performances on the same stage as Cardiff legends and international icons – including DJ AG, Local, and Murkage.
CMC 2025 invites creatives, changemakers, and curious minds alike to immerse themselves in a weekend of music with purpose. Whether you’re a young artist starting out, a seasoned producer, or simply passionate about the transformative power of sound—this is your space.
