Church of Noise · Film Screening 'Noise and Resistance'

An inspiring journey through Europe’s contemporary utopia; a globally connected political music scene based on autonomy and solidarity.

‘Noise and Resistance’ is an inspiring journey through Europe’s contemporary utopia, to subcultural places of longing, where independence creates community. A document of a globally connected political music scene based on autonomy and solidarity, practicing strategies against capitalism and mainstream culture. With authenticity and complexity the filmmakers follow members of this scene – their motivations, shared longings and utopias – showing how they create a parallel universe that functions according to its own rules. Whether squatters in Barcelona, anti-fascists in Moscow, residents of self-managed trailer parks, or activists from the CRASS collective – they are all brought by a common denominator: music as a means of protest.
