Clwb Orange x Cardiff Music City: Mocha Tones – an intimate night of R&B, Neo-Soul & gospel with Lizzie Berchie, Megs, Esther Durin & Source | 16.10.25

Step into Rhostio, Cathays, on Thursday 16th October 2025, for an intimate, soulful night that has never been done before. Mocha Tones, presented by Clwb Orange x Cardiff Music City Festival, brings together an all-Black female lineup featuring Lizzie Berchie, a quickly rising Neo-Soul singer-songwriter and producer from East London, who has graced stages across the UK. Fusing R&B, Neo-Soul, jazz, reggae, and highlife, Lizzie crafts a unique, infectious sound exploring life, love, and self-empowerment, drawing influence from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and Cleo Sol.

Joining her are Megs, performing in Cardiff for the first time with her latest catchy track White Mans Ego, Esther Durin, also debuting in Cardiff — known for her track Way Back When with Unglued and latest hit Season — and Source, an R&B collective from Cardiff, formed of some of Wales’ fastest rising and most popular singers in the genre. DJ Merce Jade, a beloved presence at Clwb Orange events, will guide the night’s mood.

Expect stripped-back R&B, Neo-Soul, and soulful gospel, magnetic performances, and a warm, sensual atmosphere, hosted by presenter and Clwb Orange founder Rosemary Dery. This is a one-off live experience for anyone who loves deep, emotive music or is ready to discover incredible new voices.
